‘Ticker Tape’ Pixel Tape Panels
Inset in between each flat on the back wall was a roughly 12’ tall alcove, where each vertical was lined with pixel tape. They were controlled with a combination of the Advatek Mk3 controller and some generic controllers and mapped with Eos pixel maps on a Gio console.
Wireless Pixel Tape Monitors
Throughout the course of the show, there were two monitors that required the ability to turn on and off and respond dynamically to the show. In order to accomplish this I built two rigs to run pixel tape wirelessly, using generic controllers and battery power, as well as a ShowBaby.
Wireless Red Matchbox
In a pivotal scene in the production, an actor pulls out a small box glowing red. In order to accomplish this with the smallest possible footprint, single diode LEDs were wired into some coin cell batteries, making them easily serviceable and usable for the run of the production.
