ABOUT

Gemma Tait is a graduating senior at Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama, with a concentration in Production Technology. She primarily focuses her work within lighting and scenic technologies, and is an avid lighting programmer. She will graduate with a minor in Physical Computing.

An adept Production Electrician, Eos and MA3 programmer and overall entertainment technician, Gemma thrives in the fast-paced environment that live entertainment demands. Over her time at CMU she has been able to work on 11 productions across the sound and lighting departments, fostering her multidisciplinary interest in the world of entertainment technology and allowing her to develop and strengthen skills in collaboration, troubleshooting and leadership.

A west coaster at heart, learning to love the humidity on the east coast (slowly), she is looking forward to continuing to explore the east coast post-graduation while exploring a career in freelance lighting programming and electrics.

In her free time, Gemma enjoys playing dungeons and dragons, tinkering and rock climbing.
